"It's gonna be a good day, just wait and see..."

So, I was all set to sit down and write a nice little post about what a nice day we had today, but then I glanced out of the window and saw snow! Friggin' snow!!!!! Our beautiful weather last week made me starving for spring, so this snow really just isn't doing it for me. Blergh. Still, I'll share out lovely day, since I'm giving like that. You're welcome.

The day started off with PJ having slept through the night, which is always a wonderful thing! He doesn't do that nearly enough- sadly, he sleeps like his mama, which is...well. It's crappy. So last night was a treat! We had a lazy, low-key morning to come down from the business of yesterday (we were out alllll day with no nap for PJ!) that was followed by naps all around for the afternoon! Naps are pretty much awesome and I don't take nearly enough. My husband, on the other hand, is the Benjamin Franklin of napping. He naps like he invented it!

After our long naps, we headed out to Chick-Fil-A to meet my friend Randi and her littles for dinner and playtime! Randi recently went back to work after almost two years as a stay-at-home-mom, so getting together has been tough. There was a time, when I was a nanny and she was home, that we saw each other every single day! We're not able to do that now, so it's great when we can squeeze in some time together! PJ loves her kids, especially her eldest daughter Natalie, and was having a blast!! Inside the play area, PJ climbed to the top for the first time! Even though he didn't really venture very far into the big tube-y-climb-y thing, it was fun to see him navigate it like a big boy!

Now, Pete is at his weekly fire department meeting and PJ is tucked into bed and the goddamn snow  is falling outside. Life is quiet, life is small, but life is good! It's the little things that count, and today, even though there was nothing groundbreaking or exciting about it, was a good one!

How was your day? Was it good? Tell me! :-)
