Today was yet another day that I spent in my pajamas!
It's pretty pitiful- if I don't have anyplace to go, I just hang inside with PJ all day! My mom stopped by, so I did manage to have some human contact aside from Pete and PJ, but there has been a sharp decline in my motivation to put on regular clothes on a daily basis! Without having a job to go to, I have gone from merely style impaired to completely slovenly!
Of course, I would take a slovenly life with PJ over a stylish life without him any day! But, I can't help but think that if Stacy and Clinton saw me in my usual garb these days, they would just skip right over the makeover and shoot me in the head!
PJ would get a pass though, since I always dress him and he always looks cute! :-)
My lack of fashion ambition is just the tip of the Mama iceberg for me, since I am still trying to figure out how to keep the baby alive and attend to other parts of "life as usual"! As I have mentioned repeatedly, our apartment is a mess and sometimes I worry that I am neglecting Pete in my fervor over being a mama! I think it's getting better, but I still have a long way to go!
In the meantime, one thing I have vowed to do is get some exercise! It's hard to get outside, but there is still plenty I can do here, with just some motivation and some time management skills! I still have this game that I bought for our X-Box, and I bought Just Dance for our Wii, which is sooooooooo much fun! I played it with Pete and I came dangerously close to peeing my pants from laughing hysterically while we danced to Surfin' Bird by the Trashmen! It's a silly game but it really does get you moving!
So, now all I need is that motivation and time management!!
