"Almost unreal, yet, it's too soon to feel yet...close to my soul and yet so far away..."

Could there be a better line from any song ever written to explain how you feel when you "meet" your baby while he or she is still residing inside of you? I always loved that song from the Muppet Movie- I was re-introduced to it at Camp Heartland. I have been scouring the internet for the video of Gonzo singing the song with no luck, so in the meantime, just check out the lyrics and fall in love!

Now seriously, would you look at that profile?

That's our little bean at 12 weeks- we did some testing for a few diseases (all tests were negative, whew!) and got to have an extra ultrasound! I'm kind of mad, because my next one won't be for a while, and right now, while I still feel less baby and more constipation, an ultrasound has been my only "real time" connection to what is going on in there!! Still, as long as everything continues to be good news and health, baby can stay quiet for just a little longer!

Thankfully, now that I am done with the first trimester, I am feeling better and life is getting back to normal! Ellie and Anna will be done with school in just two more weeks, and the fun of summer will commence! As I have said before, I am so, so lucky to have friends and family who have been able to produce offspring that can be friends to Ellie and Anna! With luck, we will have a fun, friend-filled summer!

Aside from wanting to spend time with friends, it will be nice (and nesecary) to get out of the gals house to escape the extensive renovations being done on the first floor! Besides not wanting to breathe in all of the dust and crap in my current condition (and for the matter, I'm not to big on the gals breathing it in, either!), it's very loud, messy and dissruptive, so it's off to find adventure we will go, once the gals are out of school!

For now, it's Sunday night and the last of my weekend is draining away, and I'm blogging and vegging out watching the Tony Awards! For a Frustrated Broadway Singer like me (ahem...) the Tony's bring back all of the magic of music and being on stage, even if it's vicariously through these amazing performers! It makes me yearn to be on stage, even in the most amatureish way as I am wont to do via local theatre! My life as of late hasn't had any room for that, but with all of the wonderful changes already coming our way, maybe there will be some room again!
